Our eco farm Prodnik produces domestic green asparagus. They are served daily fresh to our guests from April to June.
We prepare them in many ways, while our guests prefer asparagus soup, fried or grilled asparagus with bacon and spicy sauce, scrambled with eggs, in risotto or with homemade noodles. You could also choose Viennese fried turkey escalope stuffed with asparagus, pork medallions with asparagus sauce or beef steak au gratin with asparagus and gorgonzola.
Real amateurs are recommended to order the asparagus platter (for two people), including five of the above dishes.
Our homemade Upper Savinja stomach (zgornjesavinjski želodec) is served with sour vegetables, including our asparagus in vinegar that received a golden award Delicacies of Slovenian Farms 2013.
